Seal a Live Leak with Belzona

Pipe leaking water then pipe after repair

With Belzona, industrial live leaks can be instantly stemmed and then quickly reinforced, providing equipment with a durable repair and fast return-to-service.

Industrial pipe repair must be carried out as quickly as possible to avoid lengthy downtime and leakage of hazardous substances.

Step 1 - Emergency Leak Repair

An emergency leak repair can initially be carried out using Belzona 9611 (ES-Metal). Once the surface has been prepared, Belzona 9611 (ES-Metal) should be forced into the defect and then pressure applied for about an hour whilst it cures. The leak is now plugged and ready to be reinforced.

Step 2 - Reinforce the Leak Repair for the Long Term

The surface should again be roughened and degreased, before a coat of Belzona 1212 is applied using a brush. Wet out a section of Belzona 9341 (Reinforcement Tape) with Belzona 1212 and tightly wrap it around the pipe. Add a final layer of Belzona 1212 to finish this durable, long-term repair.
